Job Description:

Carry out, supervise, organize and review the design and site construction activities of projects to ensure compliance with project objectives in accordance with applicable engineering, construction, QA/QC  and HSE standards, specifications and regulations.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Define strategies for planning and executing the project plan.

Supervise site construction activities ensuring compliance with the milestones contractually established in the schedule giving attention to any deviations.

Review and prepare weekly and monthly work progress reports and any specific technical reports when requested.

Heading and preparation of MOM for site construction meetings with contractors and also other meetings when requested or needed.

Review and approve contractor’s submittals such as work method statements, progress verification sheets, handover reports and As-Built drawings upon works completion.

Insure Contractor’s and site construction team’s compliance with HSE rules and procedures on site.

Review and approve Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s), Safety Violation Reports (SVR’s) and Contractor’s site change requests.

Review and assess construction issues raised at site and propose the proper actions needed.

Supervise site engineer’s daily activities and coordinate their leaves and travel arrangements to insure cover of work activities on site and

Prepare and approve construction site team’s time sheets, overtime and leave requests.

Be the focal point of contact and coordination with Site Operations, HSE and Services teams.

Prepare project master plan, detailed Engineering and Construction implementation plan and control their execution.

Be able to carry out and participate in the following activities when requested.

Ensure the application of engineering, construction and HSE standards, specifications and regulations during the design phase, guaranteeing the use of good practices and the application of lessons learned from previous projects.

Coordinate between technical personnel with the aim of providing necessary technical support to Purchasing and Contracts during the bidding process.

Coordinate the activities between Engineering and Construction, supervising and managing the reception of documentation, equipment and materials at site, to ensure compliance with the established planning and schedule.

Give assistance during pre-commissioning, commissioning, start up and performance guarantee test.

Lead and coordinate between discipline engineers involved in the project design or construction.

Participate in the technical evaluation of new investment projects, developing the concept, technical specifications and initial cost estimations for the required facilities.

Review scope and analyze alternatives for project implementation.

Guarantee that the technical documentation associated with assigned projects is up-to-date and appropriately integrated into IT and document control system.

Supervise the Management of Change process.

Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, MAH, Risk Analyses and Incidents Investigations.


Over 20 years of experience in engineering and construction activities.


  • Engineering Degree/Diploma: Civil Engineering.
  • Education Level: B.Sc./High Diploma in Engineering or higher.
  • Languages: fluent in English.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Design, construction and start-up of facilities.
  • Hands on experience with project scheduling and cost estimate soft wares.
  • General knowledge on text processing and engineering drafting/drawing software: M.s Office, AutoCAD … etc.
  • General knowledge on site studies and surveys to support project activities.
  • Knowledge on industry applicable codes and standards.
  • General knowledge on project management techniques and tools.
  • Knowledge on HSE, QA/QC and document management.
