Zallaf Announces Export of First Oil Shipment from Al-Shaddar Field
Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Exploration, Production and Refining Company has achieved a new, qualitative milestone, which is the export of the first shipment of crude oil and condensates from the Al-Shaddar field, totaling over 600,000 barrels of high-quality Sirtica crude.
The company’s operations management confirmed that this shipment is the result of continuous efforts made since the field’s inauguration in January 2025, reflecting the company’s commitment to its strategic plans aimed at enhancing the production rate increase plan in accordance with the highest technical and engineering standards.
Al-Shaddar field is one of the promising fields belonging to Zallaf Company, where more than five development wells have been completed in the first phase of the project. Development work continues to increase production rates, in line with the vision of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) aimed at achieving higher rates of oil and gas production.
On this occasion, the Chairman and members of Zallaf’s Board of Directors expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to all personnel at the Al-Farigh field and the Management Committee of Waha Oil Company for their unlimited support and cooperation. Thanks are also extended to all employees of Zallaf Company from various departments, contractors, and partners who contributed to achieving this success, stressing that this achievement embodies the spirit of determination and resolve to serve the nation and advance the oil and gas sector.
