Tuesday 5/4/2022. the Chairman of the Management Committee held a meeting with the member of the Management Committee for Projects and Engineering, Engineering Department Manager, ErawIn Field Project Manager, and the Project Coordinator, in the presence of a member of the Management Committee for Operations and Maintenance.

The meeting was to follow up the civil works progress of the camp in the field and the airstrip, and to find best solutions for any obstacles facing the projects to ensure their completion within the target dates.

In conclusion, Mr. Chairman. stressed the need for continuous communication between the departments in order to implement these projects in the Erwin Field, in preparation for the actual start of implementing the surface equipment and the pipeline laying.

In the context of providing all services and capabilities to the company’s users in the Erwin field and the surrounding areas, and under the supervision of the Communications and Information Technology Department, Almadar Aljadid, Ubari Post Office and Sabha Post Office, the completion stage has been achieved on the 22/3/ 2022, by connecting the fibre optic cable and provide coverage for the Almadar Mobile network. in Erawin field and Alawinat area in addition to covering the area surrounding the field and the main road, for an estimated distance of approximately fifteen kilometres.

Following the strategies and the objectives of the National Oil Corporation to raise production rates, the Chairman of the Management Committee held a meeting on the 13 of March, in the presence of the members of the Management Committee, the Director of the Development and Production Department, the Director of the Engineering and Projects Department, and through the closed circuit, the Erawin Field Project Manager, Discussing the work plane presented by the Engineering and Projects Department to start connecting six wells in the Erawin field which to increase the production rates of Zallaf Libya.

Wednesday 23-2-2022, the chairman of the board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanalla, met at the NOC’s headquarters in Tripoli with the chairman of the management committee Eng. Hussein Abuselyana of Zallaf Libya oil and gas, in the presence of the board member Mr. Abulgasem Shengeer..The meeting discussed the general activity of Zallaf Libya, by presentation addressed the program of work stages of development of the “Al-Atshan” field and the timeline for drilling specific wells to be drilled during the year, and the company’s plan to complete the integrated development plan and arrange for development drilling operations and prepare future expectations for gas production to supply the Ubari station with gas instead of crude oil, as the meeting included many inquiries and guidance on the implementation of the project in the best way and in the nearest time. For his part, Mr. Mustafa Sanalla stressed that the NOC pays great attention to the project to develop the “Al-Atshan field” and puts it among its priorities, for several reasons, most notably the continuation of burning of 18 thousand barrels per day of the sharara crude to supply alternative fuel to the Ubari station, which leads to the loss of half a billion annually under current oil prices, in addition to the technical problems incurred by the General Electricity Company.

Because of what the management committee of Zallaf Libya attaches the utmost importance to the project of establishing the South Refinery and considering it one of its strategic objectives, and in line with the instructions of the National Oil Corporation to take the necessary and quick steps to implement this promising project

Sunday 6-2-2022, A specialized team from Zallaf Company arrived at the site on which the South Refinery project will take place, accompanied by the contractor assigned. The expedition aims to initiate a field survey and determine the points and areas on which the project will occur. In addition, samples taken from the site will verify the properties and specifications of the soil in the refinery specifications.

The South Refinery project location is 950 km from Tripoli, 18 km west of the city of Ubari, about 7 km west of the Ubari power station, and about 40 km east of the Sharara oil field.

In the presence of a member of the Board of Directors for Exploration and Production, the directors of the Exploration and Development Department, the Projects Department, the Production Department of the National Oil Corporation, the head and members of the Management Committee, the directors of the Exploration and Drilling Department of Zallaf Company, in addition to the Al-Atshan field development team, a meeting was held on, February 8, 2022 at the company’s headquarters, discussing the evaluation drilling programs for gas discoveries in the region, plans and equipment were set for initiating drilling operations in the “Atashan” field, in addition to discussing the proposed budgets for drilling programs, completion of wells, testing programs and the entire project development budget.

This project is considered one of the important and necessary strategic projects to provide the natural gas needed to operate the Ubari power station and to provide the crude oil currently used in the operations. Everyone agreed to expedite the preparations to start drilling and hold a meeting to finalize the drilling plans and prepare the necessary budget to embark on this vital project for the southern region in particular and Libya in general.

In the framework of continuous cooperation and  exchange knowledge and experiences between national companies owned by the National Oil Corporation, a meeting was held on Thursday ,2 7-1-2022 in the presence of members of the Management Committee Mr. Ramadan Ebouda, Mr. Abdussalam Aziz, and Mr. Barkuli Elhabib, accompanied by managers of the concerned departments of Zallaf Libya, Eng. Khaled AJuraibi, General Manager of Libya Technology Company, Mr. Shukri Sassi from the Operations Department, and Mr. Abdel Moneim Al Sharif, Coordinator of Financial Operations, this meeting came to expand cooperation frameworks And benefit from the experts and consultants of Libya  technology company, as well as to resolve some outstanding issues, as the meeting concluded to develop a new work mechanism for the year 2022, in order to avoid and any obstacles in the future.

The Chairman and members of the Management Committee of Zallaf Libya and the directors of the relevant departments, held a meeting on, January 24, 2022, at the company’s headquarters, to develop a plan related to the initiation of drilling operations in the “Atshan” field, in addition to discussing the necessary logistic preparations to complete the drilling operations. The work related to the refurbishment of the airstrip and opening route for tracks to facilitate the movement during transfer the rig and the equipment required for the field without any damage, preparing well sites and testing water to be used in drilling operations. Security field plan by the Petroleum Facilities Guard, were also discussed.

January 20, 2022, the Chairman of the Management Committee received at the headquarters of Zallaf the regional director of the Korean Daewoo Company for Engineering and Construction, the director and adviser of Libya branch.

 The meeting discussed opportunities and aspects of cooperation in the existing projects of Zallaf Company and the possibility of benefiting from the expertise of Daewoo in the fields of energy, electricity, construction, and infrastructure projects.

In the presence of the Chairman and members of the Management Committee of Zallaf Libya, project managers of (Erawin – Atchan – Chadar and South Refinery Project) and virtually specialist from Murzuq Oil Services Company, an extensive meeting was held on, January 19, 2022, to discuss and follow up the workflow in the mentioned projects and prepare appropriate plans for 2022 objectives.

The Chairman of the Management Committee confirmed the instructions of the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, during the company’s general assembly meeting, which was held three days ago, and indicated that the company has great and many commitments and needs to make more efforts from everyone and recommended holding periodical meetings to follow up the progress of projects and their completion in the ideal and required manner.
