Meeting of the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors with the Exploration and Development Department of the NOC

Sunday, 16 of August 2020, at the headquarter of NOC, the general board discussed and reviewed the results of the initial stages of the reservoir and geological studies of the Alatshan oil field and the adjacent speculations of Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Exploration Company in the southern region.

The discussion focused on results from different proposed scenarios to develop these fields; the studies completed by the end of last year helped to prepare a plan to establish the Al-Atashan oil field. Therefore, it comes within the strategic objectives of the NOC and Zallaf firms to benefit from the development of these fields in providing gas to the power stations to operate them instead of the heavy fuel, especially Ubari power station.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Belqasem Chengeer, a member of the Board of Directors of NOC, and virtually, Dr. Khalifa Ragab Abdulsadek, Chairman of the Management Committee of Zallaf Company, and from the headquarter of NOC, Mr. Abdulsalam Aziz, a member of the Management Committee of Zallaf company, and the NOC Director of the Development Department. The reserve and reservoir engineering supervisor in the reserve development department, the superintendent of geological operations in the exploration department, and several NOC and Zallaf company specialists.

Monday, 22 of June 2020, Zallaf Management Committee held its regular meeting leaded by: Dr. Khalifa Ragab Abdulsadek, Chairman of the Management Committee, with the presence of : Dr. Abdussalam Aziz member of the Management Committee for Exploration and Production, Mr. Abdulhafed Abuaen  member of the Management Committee for Operations and Materials and Mr. Barkuli ELHabib member of the Management Committee for Engineering and Projects and Mr. Ramadan Ebouda  member of the Management Committee for Finance, Human Resources and general Services, and Mr. Abdulaziz Abdulrahman Office manager of the Chairman of the Management Committee.

In the beginning of the meeting Mr. Khalifa Ragab highlighted on Zallaf employees efforts  in achieving the objectives assigned and presented his deep thanks to all the staff whose working in very difficult climate, due to the security situation and the measures taken to reduce expenses as a result of lack of financial resources .

The meeting discussed a number of topics, and the most important was the strategic objectives of the company  related to ( Erawon field )  production which is expected to start at the beginning  of 2021, in addition to that the preparation for the second quarter meetings to be held in the middle of July 2020, reviewing the objectives,  progress and the difficulties facing each department and the possibilities to overcome these difficulties.

The management committee also discussed  the start of the drilling operations at the (Erawon field) which is planed next month, and in this context a member of the Operations Committee gave a briefing on the meetings that were held with the National Company for drilling and maintenance of wells to discuss the final arrangements for starting the contracting procedures, and transportation of the drilling rig into ( Erawon field)

The organizational structure of the company was discussed in line with business requirements during the year 2020/2021,and a number of decisions were taken.

as part of the continued collaboration between Zallf Libya exploration and production of oil and gas and N.O.C in implementing social responsibility and sustainable development policies in the areas of operations , on the14 of June.2020, the representatives of the municipalities of Brak Shati, Braak and Alghorda have received urgent medical supplies which contains personal safety equipments for the medical staff.

The handover ceremony were attended by Mr. Hatem Etbiga from S.D & Media department of Zallaf and Mr.Issa Elmtawa representative of N.O.C, sustainable development department, Mr. Mayhub Ahmed and Musbah hamadi Barka representing the municipalities.

 

Zallaf Libya Oil & Gas meets with Petrofac to discuss initiating the implementation of the construction of surface production equipment and pipelines for transporting crude oil

Within Zallaf Libya Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Company’s  preparations  for  implementing  Erawin Oilfield and starting  production from that Oilfield at the end of this year, the Chairman of the Management Committee, Dr. Khalifa Abdulsadek along with Messrs. Eng. Barkuli El Habib, Member of the Management Committee for Engineering and Projects and Abdulhafed Abuaen Member of the Management Committee for Operations and Maintenance and the project implementation team met on Tuesday 18 February 2020 with Mr. Osman Drar Deputy Chief Executive  Officer of Petrofac and a number of specialists in  the  presence of Mr. Najmi Kareem,  General Manager of Engineering and Projects at the National Oil Corporation.

The meeting discussed the logistic and technical aspects related to the implementation of the project of constructing the surface production equipment and pipelines for transporting crude oil to Erawin Oilfield Project from which the Company intends to start production at the end of this year in December 2020 despite these difficult circumstances that the country goes through.

Zallaf Company opens new office in the South to follow up on Erawin field development project

Zallaf Z Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Company, a subsidiary of National Oil Corporation (NOC), opened a new operations office in Awinat on Sunday February 16, 2020, to follow up on the development of the Erawin field adjacent to the city. The company has already started operations in the region; and production at the field is expected to start by the end of 2020. The field’s production capacity will be 16,000 barrels/day upon completion of the project.

Dr Khalifa Rajab, chairman of the Zallaf company’s Management Committee, said: “The opening of the Awinat office represents a significant step for our company. I am glad that this office will create new job opportunities for local people in the south, and I hope other developments in the future for the area. We are looking forward to starting production at the Erawin field and developing new fields in the region”.

The opening ceremony was attended by a number of dignitaries, representatives of civil society organizations, security institutions and officials from the Ghat municipality. The Zallaf company was represented by Mr Abu Baker Toulaibah, operations manager, Mr Hazem Doghman, acting manager of the Services Department, Mr Hatem Tabighah , Mr. Fawzi Albasha , from the Sustainable Development and Engineering and Projects Departments, and Mr Azri Ghadino, from the Safety and Security Department.

Mr Hussain Al Kouni, president of the Tuareg Elders’ Council, delivered his opening remarks before the opening ceremony. Mr Abu Baker Toulaibah, Zallaf’s operations manager, also gave a speech in which he expressed his appreciation for the support received from the residents of the region, allowing the company to implement its plans.

Launching of Erawan Field Project Operations at Zallaf Libya Oil & Gas Company

Dr. Khalifa Rajab Abdusadek, Chairman of the Management Committee of Zallaf Libya Oil & Gas Company accompanied by Mr. Abd Elhafeedh Abdallah Abou Ain, Member of the Management Committee for Operations and Materials, Mr. Ramadan Ahmed Abouda, Member of the Management Committee for Finance and Human Resources and some specialists at the Company paid a visit to Erawan Project site (NC200) adjacent to Alaweinat city where they were familiarized with the preparations and procedures that have been taken to commence the operations of developing the field. A location to the Company’s office in Alaweinat city was also chosen and which is now being equipped and prepared to be the site of the Project’s administration of the development operations.

On the other hand, Al Sharara Oil Field affiliated to Akakus Oil Operations Company was also visited in which various activities were checked along with Mr. Nuri Es-Sid, Chairman of the Management Committee of Akakus Oil Operations Company, in order to strengthen and enhance the cooperation in a way that achieves the targets and to benefit from the utilities and supplies basis that exist in Akakus Oil Operations Company and to connect the production line of the Company with Al Sharara Oil Field in future which was previously agreed upon between Zallaf Libya Oil & Gas Company and Akakus Oil Operations and approved by the National Oil Corporation.

Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Company discusses ways to benefit from the financial systems used by Arabian Gulf Oil Company

Within the framework of mutual cooperation between the National Oil Corporation’s affiliated companies and within benefiting from the expertise and experiences of the national companies working in this field, Mr. Ramadan Abouda, Member of the Financial Department at Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Company paid a visit to Arabian Gulf Oil Company in which he held a meeting with Mr. Ashraf Alabar, Acting Chairman of the Management Committee of Arabian Gulf Oil Company on Sunday morning 21/07/2019.

The meeting was attended, from Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Company’s side, by Mr. Mohamed Et-tweijer (Manager of Financial Department) and Mr. Majed Es-swaei (Delivery Manager of SAP Project) as well as the Manager of Department of Financial and Administrative Affairs and IT at the Arabian Gulf Oil Company and specialists from both companies.

The meeting discussed ways to benefit from the financial systems and techniques used by Arabian Oil Gulf Company which are related to the financial activity in order to create similar systems at Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Company. The Arabian Gulf Oil Company confirmed its willingness to provide Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Company with all possible assistance in different fields.

The kick off meeting with Worley to start the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for Erawin development project

Zallaf prepared the scoop of work for NC-200 development project in Marzuq basin, inviting specialized companies to bid, receiving proposals and completed the technical and commercial evaluation.

Subsequently Zallaf awarded the FEED to Worley and the engineering activities are scheduled to start at the beginning of July 2019.  

On the other hand, at site the topographical survey has been completed and the geotechnical studies are in progress and nearing completion.

It should be menthioned that the company in its work program intends to start production in the second half of the year 2020.

Zallaf Libya Meets with SENSHE and LandOcean Group

Chairman Manager Dr. Khalifa Ragab and Dr. Abdussallam Aziz, Member of Management Committee of Exploration and Production of Zallaf Libya. Zallaf members attended a meeting with Mr. Yonghong Zhao, Chairman of SENSHE, and Dr. Fengkai, Vice President of LandOcean Group, on Mar 11, 2019.

Mr. Amin Elnagar, President & Founder of Alesteshari International INC. The authorized agency of the mentioned companies who organized this business meeting. During the meeting, the two companies introduced their capabilities. They activated Exploration and Drilling services, and they expressed their ability to come to Libya to provide the services that Zallaf Libya requires for its business.

In addition, they presented a technical presentation to the specialist employees of Zallaf Libya company.

Zallaf Libya 1st Meeting for 2019

Zallaf Libya for exploration and production of oil and gas held its 1st meeting for 2019 on Sunday, January 27, 2019.

Dr. Khalifa, R. led the meeting with the Members of the Management Committee, discussing the company’s short and long-term strategic objectives. The roles and responsibilities of each department, and the training and development plan for 2019.

Dr. Khalifa emphasized that constant and continuous coordination between the departments will help achieve the company’s primary goals of starting production before the 3rd quarter of 2020.
